Introduction

This compact disc contains all publications on psychoanalysis and ethnopsychoanalysis, as well as culture-critical essays by Paul Parin. Many of them are the result of decades of joint research by Paul Parin, Goldy Parin-Matthèy, and Fritz Morgenthaler. The present compilation provides “digital” access to some 242 publications in five languages from the period 1948-2001. Amongst others, all texts are displayed that have ever been published in English, French, Italian, and Spanish, including the books “Les blancs pensent trop; 13 entretiens psychanalytiques avec les Dogon” (1966), and “Fear Thy Neighbor as Thyself; Psychoanalysis and Society among the Anyi of West Africa” (1980) both out-of-print.

The text documents have been reproduced according to the original prints. They have been arranged in chronological order in both the Paul Parin Complete Bibliography and in the table of contents of the respective languages. The original pagination can be found on the upper left corner of the corresponding page.

Biographical information on Paul Parin and a small photo album complete the anthology.

But, most important, this CD is dedicated to Paul Parin for his 85 th birthday !
